Elder James E. White, Sr. is the Senior Pastor and founder of Rhema Christian Center in Columbia, South Carolina. A student of the Word, Pastor White earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Evangel Bible College, Spartanburg, SC.
Pastor White was ordained Elder in 1982 and has served the South Carolina Jurisdiction of the COGIC as pastor, and past Chairman of the Ordination Committee (1983). In 1985 Pastor White resigned his positions to raise his three children, James Earl II, Carlo and Lawana. His experience as a single father impacted his life so, that he has devoted and dedicated his ministry to serving single parents and families.
Pastor White served as ministry assistance for over 18 years at the Family Worship Center Church of God In Christ, under Superintendent (Bishop) Derrick W. Hutchins, Sr.. He remained a intricate part of Family Worship Center until April 2003, launching out to plant the RHEMA Christian Center Church.
Pastor White brings insightful and fresh revelation to the hearer. He espouses to four main “R’s” Right knowledge, Right understanding, Right decisions, Right results.
Pastor White is married to the former DeBorah E. Hollins.
Lady DeBorah White is a native of Columbia SC. Although raised and educated in Boston, Massachusetts, she is a southern girl at heart.
DeBorah is an Associate Chaplain with the Lexington Medical Center Hospital in West Columbia, SC. She earned a Bachelors of Arts from Columbia College, a Master of Arts in Chaplaincy from (CIU) Columbia International University and Seminary in Columbia SC, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. She also earned a certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education and specialization as a Grief/Resilient Coach. DeBorah is currently pursuing a DMin. in Leadership at CIU.
As a Bible teacher, DeBorah is passionate about encouraging, listening, reflective sharing and prayer to foster spiritual growth and successful living through Biblical principles. As an advocate, DeBorah launched The Abigail Project (2005), an ongoing campaign to promote awareness and provide education to the faith community for the prevention of violence against women and girls.
DeBorah has been a featured guest columnist in Strang Communication’s Ministry Today Magazine. and is the main contributor to The Well’s blog “Well Words”. Deborah is the author of the inspirational book, Vertical Living: Aligning Your Heart with God’s Will.
DeBorah is married to Elder James Ellington White, Sr., Pastor of Rhema Christian Center COGIC in Columbia, South Carolina. DeBorah serves faithfully as the Director of Women’s Ministry and Spiritual Care.
